Description
Job Summary:
CNC Machinist safely produces machined parts to quality standards by preparing, operating, and maintaining CNC lathes, mills, surface grinders, and other machinery. Applicant does not need to have experience will all pieces of machinery listed and is encouraged to apply if they have experience with at least one.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Setup and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, Wire EDM, etc.
Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, engineered drawings, and 3D models
· Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct functions
· Prepare, load, and unload raw materials and parts onto the machines safely
· Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
· Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
· Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they are manufactured to specifications
· Coordinate activity with other machinists and make sure operations are carried out efficiently and safely
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
