Rotary Furnace Operator
Job Purpose
To melt, refine, assay and fabricate silver to ensure quality purification and production of precious metals.
Responsibilities
- Verify inventory weights
- Melt, sample and refine precious metal
- Hand fabricates purified silver products
- Follow and meet the production schedule
- Maintain quality standards
- Complete documentation
- Ensure safe operation of gas-fired and induction melting furnaces
- Properly use, operate and maintain machinery to reduce downtime
- Complete maintenance request forms
Skill Requirements
- Plant experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Basic computer experience
- Well organized, multi-tasker and good with time management in high pressure situations
- Ability to lift 50+lbs. for extended periods of time
- Able to handle exposure to extreme heats
- Ability to be versatile
- Experience in safety program a plus
- Mechanical abilities a plus
- Forklift experience a plus
- Pre-employment drug screening and background check is required
