WorkSource Oregon Bus and Vehicle Mechanic in Astoria, Oregon
1. Maintain bus fleet and district vehicles as required 2. Assists the Transportation Supervisor in the daily operation of the transportation department 3. Drive buses and other vehicles 4. Maintain maintenance records and establish maintenance schedule 5. Maintains the bus garage including organization, disposal of waste fluids (oil, anti-freeze etc.), and ordering and inventory of supplies for vehicles and buses (i.e., fuel, parts, oil, paper towels, cleaners, etc.). 6. Ensures that assigned buses are clean, fuel and oil are replenished and that buses are in good repair, proper working order and ready for routes and all field and athletic trips. 7. Be able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned 8. Maintain confidentiality in all phases of work 9. Other duties as assigned. 10. May also be assigned district grounds/maintenance tasks during summers.
