Adjunct Job Announcement

Position: Dental Hygiene Adjunct Instructor

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Program Chair for Dental Programs and Divisional Academic Dean

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the management, development, monitoring, and completion of the Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene Program initiatives.

  • Contribute to planning and development processes.

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, administrators, faculty and staff.

  • Assist clinical coordinator with clinic supply; tracking and stocking.

  • Supervise and instruct dental hygiene students during clinic.

  • Support clinical facilities.

  • Provide a safe environment for the provision of instructions and patient care.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Georgia.

  • Knowledge of Dentrix software.

  • Two (2) years clinical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) – three (3) years of previous work experience as a dental hygienist.

  • Current BLS certification for healthcare providers.

  • Experience in electronic delivery and online learning is highly desirable.
