Job Title:  QA/QC Engineer for Natural Gas Projects

Location:  Athens, Greece

Duration: 1 Year

Job Summary:

As QA/QC Engineer you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and compliance of natural gas projects. You will be responsible for implementing quality assurance and quality control processes, overseeing welding activities, and ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required standards and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance and Quality Control:

  • Develop and implement QA/QC procedures and plans in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and project specifications.

  • Review and approve quality documentation, including test reports, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.

    Welding Supervision:

  • Oversee welding activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and standards.

  • Monitor welding processes, techniques, and qualifications to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

  • Coordinate with welding inspectors and contractors to resolve any welding-related issues or discrepancies.

    Project Management Support:

  • Assist project manager in defining quality objectives and ensuring that QA/QC activities are aligned with project goals.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on QA/QC matters, including material selection, inspection techniques, and testing methods.

  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on QA/QC status and progress.

    Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date QA/QC documentation, including inspection reports, test results, and certification records.

  • Prepare and submit QA/QC reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key findings, issues, and recommendations.

  • Ensure that all QA/QC records are properly filed and archived in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience as an engineer, with at least 2 years in QA/QC and welding for natural gas projects.

    Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of QA/QC principles, procedures, and standards in the context of natural gas projects.

  • Experience with welding processes, techniques, and inspection methods.

  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards, such as ASME, API, EN, and ISO.

    Analytical Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving quality issues.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and test results.

    Communication Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.

  • Ability to prepare clear and concise QA/QC reports and documentation.

    Team Collaboration:

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and across organizational boundaries.

  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and collaborative sessions to drive project progress and consensus.
