Position Summary

Participates in comprehensive, risk-focused supervisory program of financial institutions and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Proactively identifies risks through on and off-site examination and performing continuous monitoring activities. Develop and maintain in-depth expertise in financial risks and risk management, including credit, capital, and/or market and liquidity risks. Actively participates in broader Reserve Bank and/or Federal Reserve System initiatives related to areas of expertise. The level of work is considered moderately complex and executed under general to limited supervision depending on level of expertise. Exercises independent judgment in determining objectives of and approaches to assignment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in the implementation of credit, capital, and or market and liquidityrisk-focused supervisory activities, including performing full scope examinations or targeted reviews.

  • Experience and understanding of capital risk and/or financial markets, funding products and key liquidity metrics and regulations.

  • May serve as Examiner in Charge (EIC), which involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring supervisory activities.

  • Acts as a primary contributor to supervisory work products; prepares and communicates well supported conclusions on work completed to Reserve Bank management as well as to management of supervised financial institutions.

  • Interprets, analyzes and monitors specific risks on a horizontal basis through on and off-site supervisory activities. Collaborates with colleagues within the Division, the Reserve Bank and other regulatory agencies to resolve issues and build consensus regarding supervisory matters.

  • Consults with and advises senior supervisory staff (locally, at the Board, and within the Federal Reserve System) to identify and address emerging issues.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years equivalent experience

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of experience as a wholesale credit professional

  • Ideal candidate will have capital or market and liquidity risk experience

  • Expert level communication skills

  • Ability to deliver messages to stakeholders (internal/external), translating subject matter expertise to broad audiences.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Suite

  • Examiner commission preferred
