The Coca-Cola Company Director - Privacy & Data Protection in Atlanta, Georgia

Join Coca-Cola's Global Privacy Office as our Director of Privacy Governance. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the Global Privacy Program's governance efforts, ensuring a cohesive framework, robust policies, streamlined controls, and comprehensive risk monitoring and reporting. LOCATION: ATLANTA, GEORGIA

Hybrid work schedule - 3 days per week in person and 2 days virtual

Individual contributor role - no direct reports

Key Responsibilities :

  • Governance Architect: Build and sustain a global privacy governance framework that aligns with Coca-Cola's business goals and meets international privacy and data protection requirements.

  • Controls Leader: Develop, implement, and regularly update privacy policies and controls to ensure Coca-Cola's leadership in privacy and data protection.

  • Risk Strategist: Identify, assess, and mitigate current and potential risks through strategic risk management approaches to protect organizational interests.

  • Compliance Monitor: Monitor compliance with company policies and relevant laws, address non-compliance issues, and lead remediation efforts.

  • Cross-Functional Facilitator: Lead cross-functional governance and compliance activities throughout the organization, including with essential partners.

  • Communicator: Manage the development and delivery of regular, insightful reports on the status of privacy governance and compliance, ensuring clarity and insights for senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements :

  • 7+ years in governance, compliance, or risk management, including at least 3 years focused on privacy and data protection.

  • Deep experience with developing and maintain global privacy governance and compliance programs.

  • Comprehensive understanding of global privacy and data protection requirements, industry standards, best practices, and regulatory developments.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience in project managing complex, multidisciplinary projects.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, PgMP, IAPP, etc.) is preferred.
