Please review the following job description:

Serve as the primary Marketing contact to the business for strategic initiatives supporting the Consumer Home Lending businesses. Develop marketing strategies and work across Marketing ecosystem to consult on development of marketing plans and tactics that leverage marketing capabilities to achieve business goals, enhance client experience, and acquire, grow and retain profitable client relationships. Collaborate with internal and external marketing partners to develop marketing strategies aligned to business goals and priorities; Serve as the SME for various centers of excellence through planning and execution to ensure alignment to marketing strategies and the Truist Purpose and Brand.

This position will sit in the Consumer and Small Business Brand and Enterprise Marketing organization and report to the Lending Marketing Group Senior Manager. Additional consideration will be made for candidates that have experience in developing marketing strategy roadmaps and learning agendas, client-centric Marketing Strategy Briefs, promotional offers strategy and/or development of differentiated value propositions, positioning statements and messaging strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Set the marketing direction and enable cross-functional marketing teams to plan and execute accordingly. Develop marketing strategies intended to drive to operational and financial results. Initiate research efforts to support value proposition development/refinement, defining creative design platforms and style guides that will lead to product differentiation and increase our in-market performance. Act as a thought leader for Lending, championing new business ideas, product naming and other areas that provide value to the business and other marketing teams. Lead highly complex and visible projects with notable risk and complexity while managing deliverables for the team. Make leadership decisions within established policies, procedures, and established objectives. Monitor client needs and competitive marketplace and provides ongoing marketing support that ensures the competitiveness of offered products and services. Influence prioritization of budget and resource allocation. This role may be an individual contributor role that has strategic influence (complex long-term planning of business initiatives and outcomes) on a large part of Truist's organization, typically a LOB or a segment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and related training Seven years of related experience; Deep specialized (SME) and/or broad knowledge within the marketing (or related) discipline. Consumer/Commercial/Corporate/Wealth banking product, preferably Lending or Credit Card product experience. Expertise in interpreting internal and external data including client research insights to develop marketing strategies, value props, messaging, creative platforms and other critical product marketing artifacts. Ability to lead projects of significant complexity and risk exposure, in addition to leading a team of professionals. Ability to exercise independent judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges in the context of business objectives and priorities. Sophisticated understanding of clients through interpretation and user research and analytics. Strong relationship building skills resulting in the ability to influence others to adopt a new perspective. Knowledge of the industry's competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry. Strong presentation skills and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Master’s degree in related field Fifteen years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience Series 6, 7, 24 license
