Position Summary

The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Program Manager with experience in data to assist with a multi-site data science program at the Morehouse School of Medicine. The Program Manager should be familiar with data science applied to environmental health research to support research and administrative efforts to set up a new AI/ML health equity lab focusing on Precision Environmental Health Research.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of two (2) years of data analysis experience.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Public Health, or related field.

  • Extensive experience working on research program development and administration, including strong understanding of clinical research regulations and compliance standards.

  • Experience with staff management and developing and managing a budget.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

Job Duties

Description of Job Duty

  • Ability to search for federal funding opportunities, prepare outline and write portions of grant funding for specific RFAs.

  • Develop, plan, coordinate and implement activities including, but not limited to, conferences, workshops, webinars, public events, and other related programs; develop and coordinate new ideas and concepts for brochures, social media content, materials, and resources.

  • Initiate, coordinate, and monitor the status of requisitions and purchase orders; accounts payable and invoicing; travel requisitions and reimbursements; and contractor/consultant/subaward grantee contract routing.

  • Schedule and manage logistics for Principal Investigator, internal staff, key personnel, and steering committee meetings.

  • Prepare written materials, charts and graphs, formatting and referencing, and other content for manuscripts, presentations, key deliverables, and grant proposals.

  • Provide administrative support and technical assistance to the research project and core teams, as deemed necessary.

  • Direct program correspondences by preparing and reviewing memos, meeting minutes and emails.

  • Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness through the administration of evaluations/surveys via REDCap.

  • Contribute to the organizing, writing and submission of abstracts, manuscripts, and publications.
