Microsoft Corporation Senior Technical Program Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Delivery organization is focused on delivering various platform services to our customers worldwide. This role will require deep partnership across all of Microsoft as these programs are on the leading edge of innovation and include driving initiatives and technology shifts that shape our ongoing commitment to deliver AI platform services rapidly at cloud scale.

We are part of Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I), the group responsible for one of the world’s largest cloud infrastructures, powering all Microsoft online products and services, and supporting Microsoft’s “Cloud First” strategy. CO+I is focused on growth, efficiency, and providing reliable experiences to customers and partners worldwide.

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Technical Program Manager to lead strategic projects related to cloud infrastructure technical planning and integrated roadmap execution, to enable acceleration and scaling of AI inferencing capacity.

Responsibilities

Analysis :

  • Identifies complex opportunities and gaps in the implementation of multiple feature areas across divisional boundaries.

  • Defines solution options and proposed solution roadmap across multiple feature areas within multiple stages.

Product/Service Definition:

  • Works with Software and Hardware Engineering to design integrated solutions to complex technical needs.

  • Translates the needs of the organization and other teams into program goals and prioritized deliverables based on data insights.

Product/Service Development :

  • Creates relationships to drive orchestration and integration efforts for the development and implementation process of multiple features areas for large and highly complex cross functional projects.

  • Collaborates with others to track, coordinate, and communicate end-to-end project schedules (e.g., semester plans, milestones, timelines, releases) for multiple feature areas.

Product/Service Performance :

  • Forms hypotheses to complex technical needsand iterates to drive improvement in specific performance metrics.

  • Leads teams to partner with others (e.g., Technology Team) to report on progress (e.g., business reviews), and derive deep insights that lead to productive courses of action to improve development and implementation of multiple feature areas.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years' experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years' experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 1years' experience managing large-scale global programs in technology deployments.

  • 1+ year(s) SQL & PowerBIexperience.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
