Maximus SOC Analyst - 21774 in Atlanta, Georgia

Maximus is seeking an entry level SOC Analyst to join our IT security team working with our federal customer.

Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS055, T1, Band 4 * Collect, analyze, and correlate security events to recommend mitigation of potential incidents within the enterprise as per Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC) methodology. * Utilize investigative software such as SPLUNK and Net Witness. * Identify events that threaten the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of information or systems, which may indicate a violation of federal law or HHS Policy. * Perform incident triage to determine accuracy, scope, urgency, and impact. * Provide incident coordination and updates to the OpDiv Incident Response Teams (IRTs) and HHS following CSIRC methodology. * Notify CSIRC management and other HHS IRT members of suspected incidents, detailing the events history, status, and potential impact. * Track and report ongoing cybersecurity incidents using a ticket management system. * Respond to verified incidents using a variety of tools to mitigate active threats.

Minimum Requirements TCS055, T1, Band 4

Requirements * Ability to obtain and maintain an agency specific Public Trust background investigation. * Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. * Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience (+2 years). * Two or more years of experience performing SOC Analyst duties. * Industry-standard cybersecurity certification, e.g., Security+.

Pay Transparency Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.

Annual Base Pay Minimum for this Position $ 56,000.00

Annual Base Pay Maximum for this Position $ 74,000.00
