Overview
Restaurant Accounting is one of five teams withing Restaurant Financial Services. Restaurant Accounting consists of two key functional areas: Regional Accounting Support and Accounting Strategy. Within these areas, we provide accounting support and strategy for: Chick-fil-A domestically franchised and company owned restaurants, STC Brands, Beyond the Restaurant, Operations Accounting, International restaurants, and our Restaurant Fee Calculation and Profit/Loss Reporting system. We take pride in providing "Second Mile" service to our customers which consists of Operators, STC Brands Executive General Managers, Team Members, Support Center Staff, and 3rd party vendors.
This is a professional level role requiring an individual who will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders responsible for strategic work and supporting the analytical needs of STC Brands in the areas of Restaurant Performance Insights, Menu and Food Cost, and Labor Cost. This role is responsible for responding to emerging business challenges with insightful data driven analysis. In additional to providing technical support to STC Brands Analysts this role is expected to design analytical tools that allow business users to understand business performance by navigating data visualizations on their own. This role is team based in nature and requires the analyst to demonstrate excellence in their ability to partner with teammates to ensure a consistent and high-quality outcome for stakeholders. This role is collaborative, requiring partnerships with Digital Transformation & Technology and Enterprise Data & Analytics.
Our work is primarily performed at the Support Center in a campus mobile environment. Occasional travel and over-time may be required to meet team or individual goals and deadlines. Work is often completed under moderate supervision and occasional after hour support or over-time may be required to meet goals or guidelines.
Responsibilities
Deliver both ad-hoc and ongoing analytics.
Partner with STC Brands Restaurant Insights Analyst to maintain an optimal portfolio of insightful analytical tools and reports to further increase STC Brands emerging analytics tooling stack.
Partner with Digital Transformation & Technology and Enterprise Data & Analytics staff to achieve successful outcome regarding data availability and efficient use of our technology stack.
Partners with stakeholders to ensure newly created tools/reports accomplish desired outcomes.
Provide the technical expertise to go from an analytical idea to delivered product.
Troubleshoot and resolve common data accuracy issues and partner with STC Brands Restaurant Insights Analyst to make recommendations to resolve those issues.
Manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Technical support provided to STC Brands Analysts team in the areas of Alteryx, SQL, and other data suites.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge:
Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
Proficiency working with Alteryx or similar workflow-based software.
Experience building automated and scalable analytical tools.
Experience in SQL.
Experience using cloud-based data infrastructure.
Skills:
Ability to use good reasoning to interpret data.
