Vice President of Performance Optimization and Innovation
Job Description:
Collaboration: Works closely with the CEO, clinicians, senior executives, and administrative leaders to align performance improvement and program development with organizational goals.
Clinical Oversight: Partners with EHN Chief Medical Officer/Chief Quality Officer and Executive Director of EHN and Emory Healthcare Primary Care Service Line for clinical oversight and support.
Performance Optimization:
Standardizes and improves clinical performance.
Develops and launches programs supporting population health and value-based care.
Fosters a culture of innovation and stays current with emerging trends and technologies.
Strategic Leadership:
Oversees the development and execution of performance improvement strategies to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
Identifies educational gaps and improves standard work and training.
Utilizes data and reporting to identify opportunities for improvement and manage change effectively.
Collaboration and Accountability:
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and utilize performance dashboards.
Leads performance improvement projects within Emory Primary Care and EHN, accountable to key performance metrics.
Partners with clinical and operational leaders to implement standardized workflows and manage changes.
Project Oversight:
Manages complex projects including business analysis, documentation of requirements, and project management.
Ensures adherence to timelines and facilitates planning and collaboration using project management methodologies.
Evaluation and Leadership:
Provides ongoing and annual evaluations of population health programs to ensure efficiency and effective utilization of human capital.
Offers thought leadership in performance optimization and innovation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Eight years in healthcare leadership or management.
At least five years of direct experience in performance improvement, program development, and/or working with a clinically integrated network or Accountable Care Organization.
Knowledge and Skills:
Familiarity with population health programs, healthcare regulations, process standardization, and quality assurance.
Strong strategic thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
