Examples of Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs system administration of the college learning management system (Blackboard Learn)
Aids in the development, implementation, and support of all courses in Blackboard Learn, including traditional, hybrid, online, and remote instruction
Delivers training in person and/or virtual training sessions
Trains faculty one-on-one and in groups in online development and acclimation to new software environments
Provides technical support for all Instructional Technology supported systems and tools for students and faculty
Supports Blackboard Collaborate Ultra web conferencing solution
Supports the college adopted proctoring solution for use with Blackboard Learn
Supports the college adopted academic integrity solution for use with Blackboard Learn
Consults with faculty on best practices for accessible course content in accordance with the Center for Accessibility guidelines
Consults with faculty on appropriate media within copyright guidelines
Researches emerging instructional technologies
Performs related duties as assigned.
Typical Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
Demonstrated experience providing support for Blackboard Learn preferred
Demonstrated experience providing technical support and technical training
Competencies and Skills:
Familiarity with instructional theories and practice
Familiarity with graphic design rules
Familiarity with best practices for creating accessible course content
Strong computer literacy and aptitude
Strong organization skills
Ability to multi-task and work independently
Proficient in various operating systems on desktop and mobile devices
Proficient in the use of Office applications, Google Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Web page authoring applications, video conferencing software, and software for creation and editing of graphics, audio and video
Supplemental Information
Terms of Employment:
This position may require flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends and duties at any Atlantic Cape location.
This is a part-time position requiring up to 26 hours per week at $25.00 per hour.

Defined Contribution Retirement Program (DCRP) (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml)
Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml) . Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
