ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. This is a hybrid role (partly on-site and partly remote). Must reside in commuting distance to the FAA Technical Center in Atlantic City, NJ.

• FNS team needs to provide FNS first level documentation and provide recommendations and new documentation to FNS first level support. Documentation includes technical instruction books, notices, handbook, and other technical directives.

• Works independently with limited supervision. Provides expertise in first level maintenance documentation requirements analysis and development of technical documentation.

• Review technical documentation and provide recommendations for improvements

• Track and audit documentation redlines

• Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities

• Develop and manage system engineering artifacts; system requirements artifacts; system testing artifacts; required product baseline artifacts

Requirements :

Join an important mission documenting and supporting the modernization of the FAA's Federal NOTAM system (FNS). NOTAM - Notice to Air Missions sends vital information to the pilot and crew. • Associates degree and ten (10) years of related work experience.OR Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience

• Experience in developing NAS technical documentation is a plus.

• Experience with NAS second level engineering is a plus

• Proficient technical writing and oral communication skills

• Knowledge of Engineering Life Cycle is a strong plus.

• Permanent Residency with 3 years of residing in the US or US Citizenship is required for the government background investigation/clearance.

• Must be flexible to travel if necessary.
