Description We are looking for a versatile Staff Accountant to join our clients small but growing construction/services company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end close process. You’ll ensure accurate financial reporting, prepare journal entries, and maintain the general ledger to support the company’s financial health.

Key duties will include processing vendor payments, managing customer invoices and collections, performing monthly bank reconciliations, and generating financial statements for management review. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential, along with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Prior experience in the construction or services-based industry is a plus. A degree in Accounting or Finance is also strongly recommended. • Proficiency in account reconciliation

• Experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with weekly account payable tasks

• Experience in preparing financial statements

• Ability to handle month-end close procedures

• Knowledge of cash applications

• Experience in project accounting

• Proven ability to work in a team and independently

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field would be advantageous.
