Account Executive - Aviation

Do you come from a strong insurance background and are looking for something different, or wanting to specialise in an area that will not only challenge you, but broaden your experience and knowledge in insurance? This role is just that.

The opportunity gives you training on aviation insurance while working with overseas underwriters and specialists. Our team handles a range of clients and are one of the handful of providers in this field. This role is based out of our Auckland CBD office.

How this opportunity is different

As an Account Executive you will have the opportunity to lead and collaborate with an experienced team of Brokers and Account professionals across NZ. This role offers the opportunity to learn and grow within a niche but exciting area of insurance.

What the mahi will look like

As an Account Executive you will support the team in ensuring all compliance and documentation is set. You will own a portfolio of clients across New Zealand, covering all their aviation insurance needs, your portfolio will be diverse and cover individual aviation requirements, agriculture fleets, right through to luxury aircrafts. Not only will you provide professional, accurate advice and support to your clients, stakeholders and underwriters, you will also be across new business growth.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing proposals for new business opportunities

  • Coordinating client renewals and preparing premium calculations

    S kills and experience that will lead to success

    You will be a natural at building lasting, trusted relationships. You may not have the aviation experience, but key to being successful is your experience in the insurance field, experience in SME accounts and you will have a strong aptitude to learn with the drive to get the best outcome for our clients.

    What we are looking for in our candidate:

  • Experience in underwriting, claims or insurance account management

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

  • Desire to learn, and own a portfolio of clients, making things happen
