About The Role

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Sales Estimator/BDM to join our NZ Fire Doors business based in Auckland, NZ. Working as part of a small team, you will be responsible for developing new relationships and managing an existing client base. New business development and the ability to generate and convert leads will be critical to success in this role.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the sales team effort to complete tender quotes and details and achieve KIP's

  • Daily quoting in a timely and efficient manner

  • Detailing doors into the system for production

  • Liaise with customers to ensure full information is provided for tenders to meet specifications

  • Identify companies who may be tendering and fire doors

  • Liaise with internal operations and manufacturing teams to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations

  • Actively manage customer relationships via telephone and face-to-face meetings

  • Provide market and competitor analysis back to the rest of the sales team

    About You

    You will be a result and people-orientated professional who can bring positive energy and work well in a small team environment. To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • 3+ years' experience and successful performance in a previous Sales Estimation position or Business Development

  • Experience in presenting to Architects and Construction companies

  • Construction industry experience with an established network.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferable

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to express relevant technical and non-technical concepts clearly

  • Ability to project manage the successful delivery of completed jobs to customers

  • Demonstrate ability to hit KPI targets

  • An existing network of Architects and QS’s preferable
