The Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta (LCCA) is a multi-discipline behavioral healthcare center that offers mental health services to the communities of surrounding Augusta, Georgia. LCCA currently has exciting opportunities for Social Workers (MA/LMSW). The Social Workers (MA/LMSW) is responsible for all aspects of resident care and therapy. The Social Workers (MA/LMSW) performs social services functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, teaching, complete specialized clinical social work services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term and long-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

    Qualifications

    Regulatory Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Social Work

  • Current state licensure or currently licensed as a behavioral science professional preferred.

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in a supervised clinical behavioral health care setting preferred.

    Language Skills:

  • Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Must have sufficient language skills and ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately and professionally implement and document the services provided to clients.

    Skills:

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of a wide range of psychosocial, cognitive and /or developmental disorders.

  • Ability to visually observe client needs.

  • Possess the ability to work productively and effectively.
