Contracts Coordinator - Long Term Care Services (LTSS) Resource Specialist

Overview:

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is searching for a Long Term Care Services (LTSS) Resource Specialist. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee state funded program contracts, consultation, and information on funding mechanisms, applicable Federal and State rules, Licensing standards/processes, MaineCare eligibility and claims issues, and OADS policies, procedures, and practices to state and community providers, consumers and guardians.

Pay Rate: $30.00 / hour, 40 hours / week - $62,400 annually.

Up to 10 days of accrued PTO, based on assignment duration, 13 paid holidays per year

Please note that this pay range represents a good faith estimate of the compensation that will be offered for this position. The actual pay offered to a successful candidate will take into account a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, qualifications, and additional preferred experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Certifications:

Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree

Knowledge:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Public/Community Health, Health Administration, Health Sciences or Health Education; Public Administration, Government, Social Work ,or a closely related field and two (2) years professional experience in the planning, development, coordination and/or evaluation of health programs or services -OR- an equivalent six (6) year combination of education, training, and experience.

Skills:

  • This position requires proficiency and experience involving MaineCare and State Funded rules, services, and practices; the ability to possess or quickly develop knowledge; demonstration of critical thinking skills; ability to understand the steps necessary to meet consumers' programming needs within programmatic and financial constraints; excellent communication skills; and comfort working with varied stakeholder groups.

  • It also requires the ability to: understand and interpret complex program rules; communicate clearly and concisely to a variety of individuals verbally and in writing; organizational skills; utilize analytical, interpretive, evaluative and/or constructive thinking in resolving problems; work under limited supervision; navigate in the MaineCare billing system (Maine Information Health Management System - MIHMS) and the MeCare platform.

  • Use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and create and use the tools available; make decisions and relay information to various providers.

  • The position requires knowledge of general accounting principles and Human Services practices; appropriate State/Federal Laws, regulations, policies and procedures; quality assurance/improvement technique; state and regional social services, or mental health/intellectual disabilities programs, services and resources; general eligibility criteria for programs.

Job Description:

  • Responsibilities include coordinating and directing components of a major social service program; implementing statewide policies and procedures effecting's program services; developing and promoting community relations; developing and coordinating resources and services; providing functional guidance to state and community case managers and supervisors within designated programs; and utilizing analytical, interpretive, evaluative and/or constructive thinking in resolving problems following defined policy and procedures.

  • Developing and coordinating resources and services including collecting, compiling and analyzing data in order to develop resource inventory and methods that meet the changing needs of members; maintaining resources to meet the needs of members; working closely with care coordination and provider agencies and other professionals to negotiate and develop individual service structures and programs to ensure the needs of members are met.

Schedule: Usual working hours: Routine business hours, Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week.
