Job Description:

The Role: Nurse Manager - Inpatient Physical Rehab

  • Directs the department's activities and resources to ensure alignment with the mission, values, and objectives of the department and organization.

The Opportunity:

  • Lead & support the nursing staff of our 12-bed unit while they succeed at maximizing patients’ functional independence leading to 75% of patients going home when discharged

This is a full time, exempt position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.

  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements.

  • Plans and monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.

  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Active Maine RN licensure, required

  • Bachelor's Degree (BSN), preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant RN experience strongly preferred

  • Nursing leadership experience (supervisor or above), strongly preferred
