Coordinate and provide guidance activities to assist students in planningacademic coursework that aligns to Texas graduation requirements. Develop and maintain current guidance documents and Personal Graduation Plans (PGPs) for each student. Communicate information to students via webinar, email, website, or phone. Track student progress toward graduation requirements and make recommendations to support on-track 4-year graduation. Assist with planning and preparation for graduation ceremony.Facilitate ongoing and systematiccommunication with students and parents regarding registration, enrollment, changes to graduation requirements or course offerings, and study support. Coordinate resources for students and parents and provide up-to-date information via website, newsletter, phone, emails, and webinars. Maintain and distribute student policy and guiding documents, prepare newsletters, prepare and present webinars, and update website routinely with supporting documents. Proactively engage in communication with students, parents, and staff to discuss students needs and generate solutions through collaborative processes. Engage in development and implementation of study skills support materials and student advisory activities in collaboration with the curriculum and administrative teams. Coordinate tutoring as needed and assist students and parents in communicating with specialists, administrators, and teachers.Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and timeliness when maintaining student records while adhering to state and university policies and requirements. Maintain accuracy of student records, enter student data, and generate student course schedules utilizing a variety of systems for student records includingTexas Records Exchange (TREx), Skyward SIS, Box folders, UTHS server files, spreadsheets. Maintain test scores and student grade reports.Obtain, record, and interpret student appraisal test data and student records (e.g., intelligence and general aptitude test data and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) scores, grades) to communicate information to students, parents, and teachers. Maintain up-to-date student records (transcripts and PGPs) on the server and in cumulative folders. Establish and follow protocols for reviewing student transcripts to determine when students meet graduation requirements to earn their diploma. Participate in top ten percent ranking processes.Provide guidance to students regarding college, career, and military readiness activities and monitor CCMR status of high school students. Offer appropriate college and career, vocational, military, or educational materials to students and parents (e.g., job information, college and career information, financial aid information). Consult with parents, students, teachers, and other school and community personnel (e.g., share information, make referrals). Provide resources and updates to students regarding college applications and SAT/ACT testing timelines.Coordinate support services through systematic processes of monitoring students course progress and identifying students individual needs.Provide references for community support programs or other avenues of support as needed for students and families, considering availability in their local community. Offer individual or group counseling to students regarding college and career planning, adjusting to school or life situations, and decision-making as needed. Collaborate with curriculum and administrative teams to plan and serve students based on their needs and aligned to activities and goals defined in the campus and district improvement plans. Assist with planning and implementing state testing and G/T, 504, and special education services.Participate in data reporting, planning, collaborative activities, course planning, support services, and marketing to assist with a variety of UTHS programs and services as needed.
