Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager in Austin, Texas. This role involves supervising the processing of accounts payable from invoice receipt through payment. You will be expected to maintain the accounts payable process, develop and uphold positive relationships with various stakeholders, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise accurate and timely processing of accounts payable

• Oversee the accounts payable team members

• Maintain and develop accounts payable process and approval workflows

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures

• Resolve vendor issues including issuing stop payments, reissues, or adjustments in a professional and timely manner

• Verify and investigate discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements

• Review invoices for required approvals, correct pricing, account coding, and policy compliance

• Enter invoices into the accounting system, generate payments, and maintain payables database and files

• Train team members on accounts payable processing

• Reconcile Accounts Payable to the General Ledger

• Uphold and ensure compliance and attention to all company policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Familiarity with Concur, Concur Expense, and Concur Travel is highly desirable

• Demonstrated competence in Accounts Payable (AP) and Check Processing

• Skill in identifying and resolving Discrepancies

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
