Description We are in search of an Automation Engineer situated in Austin, Texas. This role is part of the tech industry and focuses on the development and implementation of automation systems. It offers a short-term contract employment opportunity, providing a dynamic and engaging work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement automation systems to streamline operations

• Utilize JIRA for project management and issue tracking

• Write and execute Bash scripts to automate tasks

• Develop and manage APIs for system integration

• Utilize webhooks for real-time data exchange between applications

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation of automation systems

• Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and implement remedial actions

• Continuously update knowledge on new technologies and industry trends to ensure the automation systems are up-to-date

• Provide training and support to team members on new systems and procedures

• Maintain documentation for system processes and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in API Development is essential

• Experience with Bash Scripting is required

• Must be well-versed with JIRA

• Knowledge of Webhooks is crucial

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field is preferred

• Proven experience in Automation Engineering or similar role

• Strong understanding of automation strategies and quality assurance

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail

• Excellent time management skills
