HP Inc. Consumer 4P Manager Poly Headsets and Personal Devices in Austin, Texas

Job Description:

The Poly Category team is seeking a 4P Manager for Consumer Headsets and Personal Device. This is a global role and includes a combination of day-to-day Product Lifecycle Management and driving 4P execution for the consumer business. Working closely aligned with the Head of Poly Headset 4P Strategy you will be personally responsible and accountable for driving results for personal devices including headsets, speakerphones & personal video in the consumer space both in retail and e-tail.

You will have a successful track record of driving e-commerce business including Marketplace global listings and brick and mortar retail planning of product assortments.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for driving strategic execution on the consumer product lines with go-to-market (GTM) initiatives and programs.

Additional short term planning for Poly Portfolio to identify market opportunity and threats, in order to help markets to achieve quarterly Revenue, GM, and share metrics.

Managing daily tactical inventory and pricing activities, driving down excess inventory through specific retail/e-tail channels and discounters. Oversee consumer demand forecast and supply linaerity. Resolving country compliance, packaging or import issue.

Drive Results

  • Track the consumer business by region and drive strategic product initiatives with the GBU and sales teams to positively impact the business.

  • Align with central and regional consumer category managers to plan and execute the global consumer 4P plan to win in the market.

  • Responsible for monitoring consumer sales performance across the product lines, identifying and acting on gaps or underperformance.

  • Develop a comprehensive working relationship with the regional consumer category managers across EMEA, AMER & APJ, execute key activities including supporting product transitions in these markets.

  • Working closely aligned with the Central Category and the GBU, you will feed changing market and customer needs as feedback to influence decision making.

Product Roadmap and LIFE CYCLE MANAGEMENT

  • Manage the consumer Headset Product portfolio, working closely with GBU and markets, including building a future ready roadmap to deliver organization's growth plans

  • Manage the End-to-End Product Lifecycle, from pre-POR through End-Of-Life, looking to make the product introduction and exit transition as smooth as possible to Markets and avoiding business and financial impacts to market

  • Drive cross functional alignment with the GBU and markets on existing product roadmaps.

  • Regular interaction with Regional Consumer Category Managers to ensure market specific requirements are included in Global Roadmaps.

  • Own all the product actions (Planning, POR, NPI, communication, system readiness, trainings and sustaining)

  • Manage new product/sku requests for specific markets/countries aligned and prioritized with the Head of Poly Headset 4P Strategy and the GBU

BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE:

  • Continuously monitor product portfolio analysis based on internal financials, market data and trends to provide insights to Central Category, GBU, Market and Country business teams on opportunities in the market to drive business.

  • Continuously monitor competitive market share in the e-tail/Retail space, growth trends, and pricing changes to develop data driven decision making to respond quickly to market shifts.

  • Analyzing internal business and financial data to drive portfolio to optimize Revenue and Margin

  • Continuously monitor Technology and Competitive landscape and work to tune existing products and future roadmaps to ensure HP remains ahead of the technology curve in product offerings.

PRODUCT EVANGELISM:

  • Working with Product Marketing and New Product Introduction Teams to ensure effective launches of new products, create excitement and energy in the system, articulate the product positioning well through Product Launch Communications

  • Work with Global New Product Introduction Team to customize Global Positioning and Communication to suit the Market and Key Country requirements.

  • Develop communication tools, conduct product trainings, webinars, workshops to enable Local Market Category and Sales team to effectively tell the product story to customers

  • Working closely with the Head of Poly Headset 4P Strategy to develop and evolve the 4P plan based on future NPI and launch plans to take share in the competitive landscape.

Skills:

  • Strong Consumer Sales and Product Management Background

  • Strong technical knowledge and ability to understand detailed product level complexities

  • Understand consumer market and competitive landscape, identify competitive opportunities and gaps and can develop counter strategies to win.

  • Ability to work with large and complex data from multiple sources, ability to present succinct business scenarios basis concrete data analysis.

  • Understanding of Business Processes and Cadence. Should be able to drive cadence and rhythm in business with Global Business and Countries.

  • Strong Presentation skills. Should be able to prepare and deliver Executive level business and product presentations, be confident pitching propositions to retail and e-tail buyers.

  • Strong Communication skills. Should be able to develop, design and deliver, both visually and verbally strong product story.

  • Ability to work in a large matrix organization with multiple stakeholders across the value chain, ensuring projects move ahead with specific timelines taking all stakeholders along.

  • Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work with team members in same team, and across multiple different teams, with diverse opinions and objectives. Able to drive people to a common business objective.

  • Should be a self-starter, self-driven individual with an innovative and problem-solving mindset.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously with minimal supervision

  • Limited travel may be required

Qualification Required : Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration, advanced degree or MBA is preferred

Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in B2C e-Commerce Product Marketing or Product Management functions

Language: Fluent English mandatory
