UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS AT AUSTIN Groundskeeper - Temporary in Austin, Texas
Maintains landscape to university standards (to include all turf, shrubs, and hardscapes) and reports trouble conditions on campus that might be a safety hazard to the university community.Safely operates landscaping equipment to include push mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers and other hand tools used in landscape work.Picks up litter, empties trash receptacles, and keeps University property neat and orderly.Readily accepts and follows written and oral instructions, maintains work schedule set by the supervisor, and complete routine paperwork to include weekly electronic time reports, daily labor reports, vehicle usage log, and other UT related electronic forms.Wears appropriate personal protective equipment, PPE, for the task, follow safety rules, maintain safe working conditions.Driving University owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this and most other functions. Cleans, maintains, operates university vehicle, and maintains acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157 Section 2.5.4.Adheres to and performs related functions as assigned, and works overtime in support of special events, emergencies and planned after hours work.Ability to pull, push, and lift up to 50 lbs. Other related duties as assigned.
