DEPARTMENT OF STATE HEALTH SERVICES myInsight Coordinator/Team Lead in Austin, Texas

Job/Position DescriptionThis position oversees the statewide, web-based myInsight IT solution, which the Regional and Local Health Operations Division will use to maintain client health information and case management records, process claim information, and reporting. This position is part of the Analytics and Information Management (AIM) team within the Regional and Local Health Operations (RLHO) Division. Our mission is to analyze and transform public health information into insights that empower RLHO stakeholders to make data-driven decisions and improve outcomes. Essential Job FunctionsThe myInsight Coordinator is responsible for:and#149; Coordinating with the IT vendor and division staff to maintain and promote usage of the myInsight platform.and#149; As Team Lead, training, leading, assigning, and/or prioritizing the work of others.and#149; Identifying areas in need of improvement in information technology and programmatic function.and#149; Providing consultative services and technical assistance to myInsight users and other relevant stakeholders.and#149; Drafting and presenting technical documentation, electronic reports, policies and procedures, and system recommendations/enhancements.Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsKnowledge Skills Abilitiesand#149;Knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA and other privacy protection laws and regulations, and laboratory test interpretation. and#149;Knowledge of acquiring, organizing, and integrating data, statistical and data analysis, and quality metrics.and#149;Skill in effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration.and#149;Leadership skills including conflict resolution and team development.and#149;Ability to develop policies, procedures, manuals, training materials, and concise reports.Initial Screening CriteriaApplicants must clearly state on their State of Texas Application how they meet each of the required criteria listed below.and#149; A minimum of 3 years of experience in public health or other related field.and#149; Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public health, health science, health information management or healthcare related fields required. and#149; Three years of experience managing and prioritizing tasks for large projects including coordination of multiple stakeholders, managing deadlines and deliverables, and creating project documentation and presentations.Preferred Criteria:and#149; Professional experience with Electronic Health Record systems.and#149; Master's degree in public health, health science, health information management or other related field.and#149; Preference will be given to applicants with 5 years of experience in public health and 5 years of experience managing and prioritizing tasks for large projects including coordination of multiple stakeholders, managing deadlines and deliverables, and creating project documentation and presentations.Additional InformationApplicants who meet the initial screening criteria will be required to take a skills test prior to receiving an interview invitation.
