A summary of benefits can be found athttps://www.puc.texas.gov/HumanResources/Home/Benefits DIVISION DEPUTY EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S OFFICE/TEXAS ENERGY FUND (TEF) POSITION TYPE - This is a hybrid position and is eligible for telecommuting up to four (4) days a week The Executive Directors division is comprised of the following departments: Communications, Critical Infrastructure Security and Risk Management (CISRM), Deputy Executive Directors Office and Governmental Relations. The Deputy Executive Director Office is seeking anAttorney who has a desire to work in the utility regulatory industry, with a strong initiative, and would like to expand their knowledge, skills and experience performing moderately complex to advanced professional legal work in support of the Texas Energy Fund. Work involves providing overall legal support to staff working on the Texas Energy Fund by reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contractual provisions in grant and loan applications and supporting documents in consultation with PUC staff and researching applicable statutes, rules, and regulations relating to loan and grant agreements. Work also includes interpreting contracts, advising staff on contractual provisions, drafting amendments to grant and loan applications and other supporting documentation, and coordinating with PUC staff, Contractor, and outside counsel, as necessary. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following required minimum qualifications: Attorney II Graduation from an accredited law school with LLB or JD degree and licensed with the State Bar of Texas; eligible to practice law in Texas; and a minimum of two (2) year legal work experience as a licensed attorney, preferably in contract formation and interpretation and experience in corporate finance, banking, or lending or borrowing practices. Attorney III Graduation from an accredited law school with LLB or JD degree and licensed with the State Bar of Texas; eligible to practice law in Texas; and a minimum of three (3) years legal work experience as a licensed attorney, preferably in contract formation and interpreta ion and experience in corporate finance, banking, or lending or borrowing practices. Attorney IV Graduation from an accredited law school with LLB or JD degree and licensed with the State Bar of Texas; eligible to practice law in Texas; and a minimum of four (4) years legal work experience as a licensed attorney, preferably in contract formation and interpretation and experience in corporate finance, banking, or lending or borrowing practices. Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year experience working in the area of State government contract and procurement law. Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts or financial documents. Experience in corporate finance, banking, or lending or borrowing practices.
