Robert Half Senior Accountant in Austin, Texas

Description We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Sr. Accountant to join our team in Austin, Texas. In this role, your primary focus will be on General Ledger management, Account Reconciliation, and Month End Close tasks. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up-to-date.

• Perform account reconciliations promptly and efficiently.

• Conduct month-end close procedures in a timely and accurate manner.

• Collaborate with other team members and departments to streamline financial operations.

• Use your skills in Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, and Month End Close to optimize financial processes.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

• Prepare and present financial reports for management as required.

• Assist with financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

• Monitor financial transactions and reports for any discrepancies or irregularities.

• Participate in financial strategy planning and forecasting activities. Requirements • Proficient in account reconciliation processes and techniques

• Extensive experience with General Ledger management

• Demonstrated ability to perform Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred

• Proven experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant

• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure

• Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to mentor junior staff members
