Who you are

We are seeking an experienced IT Application Engineer with specific domain knowledge in ServiceNow to join our team and contribute to the design, implementation, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments.

As an IT Application Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, implementation, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions. You will utilize your expertise in ServiceNow to gather business requirements, analyze user needs, and configure software applications and tools. Your ability to build both standard and custom solutions on the ServiceNow platform will be key in implementing effective business solutions.

Key job responsibilities

ServiceNow Design and Implementation:

Play a leading role in the design, implementation, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments.

Gather and analyze business requirements to understand user needs and translate them into effective software applications and tools on the ServiceNow platform.

Configure ServiceNow applications, workflows, and modules to meet business requirements and optimize processes.

Application Analysis and Configuration:

Perform well-defined analysis tasks associated with gathering business requirements, designing, and configuring software applications and tools for ServiceNow.

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business challenges and propose innovative solutions using ServiceNow capabilities.

Develop and maintain technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications, test plans, and user guides.

Custom Solution Development:

Build both standard (out of the box) and custom solutions to implement business solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Utilize scripting and development skills to create custom applications, workflows, and integrations to enhance ServiceNow functionality.

Ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards for ServiceNow development and customization.

Collaboration and Support:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and system administrators, to ensure successful project delivery.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to ServiceNow applications and tools.

Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow features, releases, and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in playing a leading role in the design, implementation, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions in an enterprise environment.

  • Proven experience in performing analysis tasks associated with gathering business requirements and designing/configuring software applications and tools for ServiceNow.

  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.

  • In-depth knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, including modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Catalog.

  • Proficiency in ServiceNow development, including configuring workflows, business rules, UI policies, and notifications.

  • Experience in scripting languages, such as JavaScript, and knowledge of HTML, CSS, and RESTful APIs.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into practical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure high-quality deliverables through thorough testing and validation.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ServiceNow Certification across any of the technical domains

  • AWS Certification

  • Process improvement skills (Lean, Kaizen, Gemba etc)

  • A passion for delivering results and building trust with internal and external stakeholders

  • A proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload.
