Decision Support Analyst / Accounting / Hybrid

Work hours: Part-Time, 24 hours weekly, days, varied hours / Exempt (Salaried)

This position will support Texas Health Azle and is a hybrid remote and in-office at the Texas Health Fort Worth location on Pennsylvania Ave. Texas Health Azle is a 36-bed, community-based hospital serving the tri-county area since the 1950s. We provide exceptional care to the suburban areas of Azle, Lake Worth, Springtown and surrounding areas.

We’re accredited through The Joint Commission for disease specific care of Chest Pain patients, and we are accredited through the Texas Department of Health & Human Services as a Level IV Support Stroke facility, a Level IV Trauma Center and a Pathways to Excellence-designated hospital. We specialize in outpatient surgery, rehabilitative physical and hand therapy, and advanced imaging like mammography and CT scanning. We are a top choice in North Texas for emergency services, radiology services, rehabilitation and much more.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor's Degree is required upon hire and Accounting, Finance or Business Administration degree is highly preferred.

• Professional experience with MS Excel, pivot tables, and VLookup is highly preferred.

• One (1) year of finance health care experience is preferred.

• One (1) year of prior decision support experience is preferred.

• One (1) year of financial planning experience is strongly preferred.

• CPA - Certified Public Accountant is preferred upon hire.

Skills:

Strong PC literacy with full suite or Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Prefer experience with Decision Support products and/or relational database technology.

What You’ll Do

FINANCIAL/OPERATIONAL ANALYSIS BUDGETING:

Perform financial analysis as assigned, ad hoc or ongoing.

Assist in preparing budgeting models and provide guidance and assistance to users of the models.

Contribute to and assist in managing the preparation and use of the software for budget planning, flex budget and financial analytics.

Provide assistance in managing the integrity between the GL/Payroll systems and the decision support software.

DATA MANAGEMENT & COMPUTER PROFICIENCY:

Prepare daily management reports and statistics workbooks for budget.

Work with decision support software vendor to provide enhancement and development feedback.

Assist others with use of database technology to support financial analyses.

Assist with system analytics to troubleshoot, understand how data interfaces with the affects the decision support.

Provide subject matter expertise and troubleshooting assistance.

COMMUNICATION/TRAINING:

Communicate and educate THR and other entities of the processes and tasks needed to complete analytic tasks.

Assist with the coordination and execution of software training to end users.

Be available to teach/explain budget/accounting issues to non-finance staff.
