In addition, the Quality Manager develops, modifies, applies and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment. Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards, and that documentation is compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation and reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.

We are looking for you to join our team as a Manager Quality 2 based out of Baltimore, MD

This position is required to be on site. You will manage a high performing team of Quality Engineers, Product Inspectors, Receiving Inspectors and the Calibration Laboratory.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree and 9+ years of relevant work experience (Additional 4+ years of direct experience will be considered in lieu of degree)

• Demonstrated experience in inspecting products and structures (CMM)

• Ability to document, plan and manage projects

• Previous leadership experience in a manufacturing team environment.

• Strong leadership and employee engagement skills

• Strong written and verbal communications skills.

• Prior Factory Quality experience.

• Experience working with Government agencies

• Familiarity with ISO 9001/AS9100 Quality Management System certification process

• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret security clearance (US Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience managing direct reports

• Ability to perform quality related data analysis

• Strong background in Audits

• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 Quality Management System certification process.

• Experience in Supplier Quality

Salary Range: $119,800 - $179,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
