Robert Half Corporate Travel & Expense Manager in Baltimore, Maryland

Description

Robert Half is seeking a Corporate Travel & Expense Manager for an higher education institution in Maryland.

Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage corporate travel programs to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Monitor and manage all travel expenses and reimbursements to ensure accurate and timely processing.

  • Develop and enforce corporate card policies and procedures to maintain financial control and compliance.

  • Initiate collection efforts for overdue travel expenses, non-travel expense reports, and salary advances as needed.

  • Oversee and review the issuance of travel authorizations to employees and the designated travel agency.

  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure the best rates and services are offered.

  • Generate reports and analyze travel and expense data/transactions to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve program efficiency.

  • Directly oversee a small team and all day-to-day operations.

  • Provide training and support to employees regarding travel and expense policies and procedures.

  • Research and resolve escalated issues or discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.

    Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience implementing and managing a corporate travel program, including developing policies and procedures for corporate card use, traveling, expense reimbursements, etc.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with Concur, Concur Expense, Concur Travel, Travel Expense, Company Credit Card, Corporate Credit Card, and Travel Authorizations.

  • Ability to manage, guide, and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.

  • Experience utilizing Banner or SAP Concur software is a plus.

  • Strong technical proficiency with the ability to maintain data integrity.

  • Must possess exceptional analytical skills along with the ability to accurately process numerical data as well as create, analyze, and present detailed reports.

  • Ethical with a strong business acumen and proven ability managing confidential data with a high level of discretion.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong internal/external relationships and effectively communicate to all levels of an organization.
