Assistant Manager, AU D&A

Market Complexity:

Australia is a reasonably sophisticated market with two main route to market channels:

National Accounts (Woolworth & Coles)

Independents

The Independent’s channel is influenced at three levels: (1) through National Independent Customer Groups at a National level, (2) through state-based buying groups and (3) at individual outlets

It's a hybrid role responsible for Products ownership, Reporting and analysis, Shoppers program execution thus helping commercial, field teams and shoppers team focus on their core job.

Key Responsibilities:

Product ownership (Commercial):

Products : Salesforce (EDGE, EDGE365 & EDGE Contract Management), Trax & Anaplan.

Product Vision and Strategy:

Define the vision and strategy for product implementation, aligning it with business objectives and priorities.

Find opportunities to demonstrate product capabilities to drive innovation and improve business processes.

Requirement Gathering and Analysis:

Collaborate with business customers to gather and prioritize requirements for product customization and improvements.

Analyze business processes and workflows to find opportunities for simplification, automation and optimization using Salesforce.

Release Management:

Coordinate product releases, including feature prioritization, scope definition, and timeline management.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of Salesforce updates.

End to end ownership of issue resolution

Provide ongoing support and mentorship to users, addressing questions, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating process improvements.

Data management and Data quality:

Loading and maintaining the data as BAU activity and ensuring high level of data quality. Depletions load into Edge, Innovation products set up in Trax and Edge

Customer Communication and User Training and Adoption:

Serve as the primary point of contact for business customers, providing regular updates

Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor product performance metrics and user feedback to identify areas for optimization and improvement.

Reports and Analysis:

Customer contract report and analysis, unapproved contract spend, analysis and closure, Customer rebate calculation

Efficiency of pricing & promotions execution across different customers

Shoppers Marketing -

Works very closely with the shoppers/marketing team to set up and implement shoppers programs, surveys & pre sell orders.

Tracking of all the programs and providing insight to business to drive execution rate

Monitoring and evaluation of the shoppers programs and giving recommendations to the business

Tools : Salesforce, advanced excel, Power BI - data modelling & visualization of commercial data/KPIs providing insights

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Graduate or MBA from reputed institutes.

Demonstrated ability in Product ownership or related roles

Proven experience as a Salesforce Consultant or Business Analyst, with a deep understanding of Salesforce or similar platform capabilities and standard methodologies.

Strong project management skills

Strong commercial drive and commercial curiosity

Strong at problem-solving, planning and organizing, highly detail conscious

Experience improving procedures and challenging the existing processes

Quick learner who exhibits resiliency and tenacity in the face of challenges

Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Finance & IT and influence customers at all levels of the organization.

Participated in a technology project implementation (preferred)

Barriers to Success in Role (Optional):

Lack of insight and commercial instinct

Poor engagement / communication skills in dealing with partners

Low resilience and inability to operate in a fast paced environment

Inability to work across cultures / geographies
