Trane Technologies Design Engineer in Bangalore, India

Job Summary: This position will provide design support for product development projects in the field of HVAC and Refrigeration products for Trane Technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Design Engineering projects independently. Collaborate with other design and product engineers working on those projects.

  • Strong focus on sheet metal part design, plastic part design. Prepares layouts and concepts design, sketches and details drawings as required.

  • Prepare/maintain Engineering documentation, bill of material and change notices.

  • Collaborates and communicates cross functionally and project partners.

  • Provides design support for current production parts and products.

  • Understand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices.

  • Work from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, drawings and sketches.

  • Commit to deliver 100% QDC.

Qualifications:

  • BE/Btech in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering.

Key Competencies:

  • Hands on experience Creo, Auto CAD & Wind-chill.

  • Hands on experience in Sustenance projects.

  • Good knowledge on sheet metal part design and manufacturing processes.

  • Good knowledge on Tolerance stack-up and analysis.

  • Good understanding of sheet metal drafting rules and principals (ASME Y14.5M)

  • Basic knowledge on plastic design

  • Good knowledge on Bill of Materials and Engineering change management process.

  • HVAC/Refrigeration domain experience is preferred.

  • Good Oral and Written communication skill.

  • Ability to handle Design/Drawing release with minimum guidance.

  • Self-check for model, drawing and Wind-chill document quality/accuracy.

  • Good understanding of refrigeration sub systems and components.
