Amazon Events Support Engineer , IT Services in Bangalore, India

Job summary:

Come join our dynamic team. The Events Support Engineer's primary responsibility is to operate remote Amazon Events scheduled to be livestreamed and / or recorded. This will include, system setup, testing, troubleshooting, communicating with local AV and Organizers of events, and post production video delivery. They will have a diverse AV background with experience with livestreaming software and best practices, audio, video, lighting and integrated AV systems. Additionally, the team member will have organizational skills, calendaring, self-accountability, ability to work across multiple teams , demonstrate impeccable customer service and be energetically driven to meet the needs of our customers and team.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Professional and service-minded communication with customers, teams and business partners in all modes: voice, email, instant message or in person.

Accomplishing tasks, keeping up with calendaring and emails on a daily basis.

Raising the bar of system configuration and the quality of operations and delivery applied to daily livestreams/recordings.

Work closely with the regional and global livestream teams to operate complex livestream system setups

Actively analyze existing processes, then help establish new processes and improvements to elevate team and client experiences.

Pre-event:

Reaching out and touching base with local event POCs and coordinators.

Setup and operation of livestreaming systems considering presenters audio, lighting, video, and screen share presentations

Connecting and testing remote locations with local systems.

Event execution:

Launch timely events for livestreams and recordings

Ability to make decisions on audio and video productions levels in a wide variety of event situations.

Optimizing livestream systems for best quality attainable.

Dynamically adjust work schedule to business needs.

Post-event:

Touch base with organizers post event.

Provide editing and delivery of recordings to organizers.

Upload metrics for each event.

Conduct thorough troubleshooting and testing as needed or as directed by the engineering team, reporting back with detailed reports.

Identify and work to resolve Livestream systems and Production issues, and report detailed findings to the engineering team.

Actively analyze existing processes, then help establish new processes and improvements to elevate team and client experiences.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of livestreaming support experience

  • understanding of livestream software

  • Knowledge of streaming media protocols: RTMP, HLS, SRT.

  • Knowledge/experience in a range of VC/AV equipment.

  • Knowledge/experience using video conferencing software (Zoom, Webex, MS Teams)

  • Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in livestreaming / AV or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in troubleshooting and critical problem-solving.

  • Knowledge / Experience with AWS livestreaming products (Elemental MediaLive, MediaPackage)

  • Knowledge / Experience deploying and operating cloud livestream systems.
