Diageo Senior General Manager - Assistant Planner in Bangalore, India

Purpose:

Purpose of the role is to Performance manage India Hub for its delivery against AOP objectives on NSV, Share, GM, OP and Working Capital.

Operating dimensions:

India Hub in totality; NSV of Rs +12,000 Cr; multiple RTM models across the States, Distributed National Manufacturing footprint, multiple small businesses (Sports Franchise, Exports Division, backward integration subsidiaries); Working Capital intensity of 20-25% of NSV (Rs 2500 Cr at any point of time)

Role Description:

Annual Operating Plan granular build up in partnership with the Business, FC Verticals and Finance BP network and facilitating a healthy trade-off discussion with Ex-com in pursuance of the targets cascaded by the Group. Periodic activities of monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting efforts as well as event-driven activities. Forecasting activities primarily include year-end or rolling forecasts, including development of P&Ls, balance sheets and cash-flow statements, and collaboration with operations in the generation. Operational execution of India Hub Working Capital target build up and cascade across Regions / functions / verticals. Run month on month performance management thru the Scorecrad / Cash Committee forums for on-going improvements and interventions. Support Head of Investor Relations for Meetin gs with and managing key analysts and institutional investors Design, maintenance and governance of KPIs and scorecards used for performance reporting Reporting of prior and current year actuals including variance analysis against budget and outlook Reporting of current year actual capital spending vs. plan, new sales, and renewals Calculating and/or reporting of various performance measurements including cash flow, contribution margin and ROI Developing, analyzing and presentation of financial results to senior management Finance activities associated with support of the strategic planning process, including financial modelling of strategic scenarios. Fulfilling of various ad hoc reporting requirements (80% via self service tools) Development and maintenance of business performance scorecard and associated metrics Performance manage India Hub thru the Monthly Corporate scorecard disussion after conducting a robust and thorough variance analysis. Estalish actual performance against key deliveries and facilitate discussion in the Exec on interventions / decisions required to meet / beat commitments given in AOP. Conduct Annual Impairment assessment for India - Cash Generating Unit (CGU) and the Brand assets against its "Value in Use (VIU)" along with sensitivity analysis as per the Global calendar. Incorporate "Risks and mitigation" in on-going Performance Management discussions. Managing intercompany transfer pricing requirements on import portflio and periodic price calibrations. Facilitate robust external P&L / BS benchmarking with peer group in the Alco-Bev category within India and with other Diageo global operations. Convert in-sights into themes that need to be carried forward into tangible and concrete work-streams. Planning, budgeting & managing the corporate overheads portfolio across all functions and active stakeholder management.
