About the position...

The role requires the developer to take the working experimental code from delivery to production. Value add in terms of performance tuning, scalability, abstraction of storage, logging, dockerization and build setup. The role requires working with ML engineers to productionize the code.

YOU'LL GET TO...

  • Candidates with 5-8 years of experience.

  • Participate in design discussions, considering trade-offs for business value, scalability, and delivery timeline.

  • Develop service functionality using RESTful APIs and JSON.

  • Define service contract APIs for integration.

  • Handle API-to-API integrations.

  • Work with infrastructure teams to build scalable systems.

  • Develop services for UI developers' needs.

  • Write unit tests with a test-driven approach.

  • Debug and resolve performance issues.

  • Design and code with security in mind, anticipating risks.

  • Conduct peer/code reviews.

  • Develop back-end components to enhance responsiveness and performance.

  • Write effective, scalable code.

  • Integrate with client-facing applications and upstream APIs.

  • Test and debug programmes.

  • Improve the functionality of existing systems.

  • Coordinate with internal teams to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE...

  • ​Experience building microservices applications with Python 3.x.

  • Knowledge of containers (Docker), microservices, REST, CI/CD processes, and Git.

  • Experience in AI/Machine Learning, especially in deep neural networks and image processing.

  • Understanding of generative AI and its business applications.

  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (GCP/AWS).

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with a history of delivering production systems in a team.

  • Quick learner, motivated, takes pride in building new products, and engages others to speed up solutions.

  • Knowledge of design patterns and performance challenges.

  • Experience working with distributed teams.

  • 3 years of experience with agile scrum methodologies.

  • 5 years of Python and SQL development.

  • Experience with Docker and Linux shell scripting.

  • Experience with relational (MySQL, Postgres) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases.

  • 1 year of experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.

  • Experience developing scalable microservices and API gateways.

  • 5 years of data modelling/metadata schema definition.

  • Experience with server-oriented architectures and web applications, including API and REST service integration.

  • Experience with architectural governance and security reviews.

  • Familiarity with agile tools like Atlassian JIRA, Rally, TFS, or Version One.

  • Mastery of CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, and artifactory repositories.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Master’s Degree
