Microsoft Corporation Technical Program Manager II in Bangalore, India

The Azure Storage team is looking for a Technical Program Manager II to work closely with other Product Managers, Software Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain and advance the state of data infrastructure used to provide insights on product adoption, usage, and attribution. You will collaborate with key stakeholders on implementing telemetry and reporting innovations to help derive new business insights and drive additional efficiencies and business growth. You will accomplish this by building and maintaining the pipeline of data and reporting infrastructure that tracks the consumption of Azure Storage services. You will need to have a deep interest in data and the principles behind decisions, combined with the ability to understand and evaluate different points of view as you work across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Building, maintaining, and enhancing the data pipeline and reporting infrastructure used for tracking the consumption of Azure Storage services.

  • Collaborating with other Program Managers to utilize data as a tool for extracting the insights needed to drive increased efficiencies and consumption of Azure services.

  • Partnering with a wide array of disciplines and teams.

  • You will drive continuous improvements by validating use cases and partnering with other departments to collect performance metrics. You’ll also contribute to customer support and participate in direct customer engagements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines AND 3+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in

  • data science, software engineering, or technical product management,

  • AND using computing languages (such as Python, SQL, R, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets,

  • AND designing insights and developing Power BI dashboards,

  • AND RDMS such as Microsoft SQL Server and Business Intelligence tools such as Kusto, Cosmo, Excel, Power Query, and Azure SQL Server,

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Quantitative and analytical skills, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • 1+ year(s) of professional experience in at least one of the following with Engineering, Data Science (including machine learning), or Storage Technology

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: 

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines AND 4+ years of experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).

  • 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
