Summary

The Associate Director, Global Oncology Medical Affairs, Medical Intelligence is responsible for leading conference coverage, providing strategic intelligence support, identifying early warnings and indicators of new therapeutic area trends, future SOC change, evaluating emerging scientific information and giving guidance and direction by discerning potential new opportunities for the solid tumor franchise.

Responsibilities

  • Conference Coverage:* Lead pre- and post congress planning and activities for major conferences like ASCO, ESMO WCLC and SABCS. Responsibilities include:* Development and sharing of pre-con deck and final conference planner.* Organizing on-site CI debriefs.* Leading post-conference coverage: coordinating and co-presenting post-conference report along with individual assets, MAST and DAST leads from GOMA and other functions.* Lead development and generation of Social Listening reports and Social Listening Digital platforms* Execute asset specific presentation on the disease landscape (e.g. during GMAT, early asset meetings) for smaller conferences like ASCO GI, ASCO GU, AACR, ESMO GI, ESMO Breast, SGO etc.* Work in close collaboration with GMAT leads, Scientific Engagement leads (e.g. MSL LINC), Commercial CI and CI-Lib on other conference coverage activities

  • Collaborate with GMAT/MAST leads, MCT and Scientific Engagement leads to assess the need for ad hoc landscape medical intelligence support. Activities could include:* Planning and co-executing medical focused CI workshops* Providing latest disease and competitive landscape overview to help with medical planning, launch prep etc.* Providing insights and intelligence on the therapeutic area landscape for MSL training* Support upcoming/early asset teams on intelligence needs as asset priority evolves.* Work closely with MAST leads to provide intelligence which support cross –tumor and portfolio level decision making e.g. provide intelligence on SOC evolution, safety and efficacy bars for practice changing treatments, information on novel/early combinations which will help MAST teams re prioritize disease/asset focus* Assist evidence generation teams with analogs and examples from competitors to help design their evidence generation strategy

Qualifications: Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Education Qualifications (from an accredited college or university)

  • PharmD, PhD, MD or equivalent in medical sciences required

Experience Qualifications

  • 7 or More Years in oncology in strategic roles either in academia or in pharma required

  • Experience within one or more of the following: a pharmaceutical/biotech company; a pharma/biotech/healthcare CI agency preferred

  • Experience in sourcing, analyzing and interpreting solid tumor unmet needs, competitor pipeline and scientific information preferred

  • Expertise in oncology (academic experience and/or pharmaceutical in different indications required

Travel

Ability to travel up to 20%

Ability to travel for 4-6 domestic and/or international conferences is required for this role.
