Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) seeks to fill the position of Adjunct Faculty - Physics is located in the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. This is a part-time position, and is open for recruitment.

COMPENSATION:

Salary: $833.33 per one credit course taught

Estimated Hours per Week: 3

Dates/Times - Day, night and weekend classes; various times available

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in physics or master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours in physics. Master's degree in engineering with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework related to

physics concepts and course learning outcomes may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in physics

Job Concepts

Part-time Adjunct Faculty members are responsible for teaching courses as assigned and promotion of a collegial atmosphere. Adjunct Faculty are expected to support the institution's mission and vision and abide by the Faculty Handbook and college-wide policies. Adjunct Faculty report directly to the department chair within their respective departments and divisions.

The Department of Sciences seeks adjunct instructors to teach Physics courses. Adjunct

instructors are hired by the department, the Division of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and Baton Rouge Community College on a term-by-term basis as needed.
