Purpose/Introduction

Chevron Phillips Chemical is seeking a Maintenane Planner – Heavy Craft to join our team at our Cedar Bayou facility in Baytown, Texas. The basic function of this role is to develop planned job packages for maintenance repair work and improvement projects based on priorities established by the Operations Maintenance Coordinator. The job plans must fully satisfy the notification scope and include all material, services, resources and appropriate scheduling logic between individual operations or tasks. This position must ensure that a sufficient amount of work is planned to satisfy production needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to ensure maintenance activities are executed safely and incident-free

  • Maintain maintenance job plans and estimates using SAP

  • Coordinate the development and implementation of effective job plans

  • Manage the notification and work order backlog for assigned area

  • Ensure maintenance efforts focus on quality repairs and improved plant reliability

  • Plan and coordinate work via Operations Maintenance Work Process (OMWP)

  • Initiate safe work permitting activities

  • Integrate reliability strategies into maintenance work processes

  • Proactively work with peers to improve maintenance efforts

  • Implement methods to improve maintenance productivity and effectiveness

Responsibilities (continued)

  • Create BOMs and PM plans

  • Create job packets, job plans, and technical documentation, feedback forms, and job kits

  • Create purchase requisitions and reservations for materials, equipment, or services

  • Build and update task lists for recurring jobs

  • Revise task lists from job feedback forms

  • Follow direction from operations, maintenance, and technician managers

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of planning experience

  • Must have at least 3 years of maintenance field experience (pipefitting, welding, boiler making) in a chemical/refining environment

  • Experience coordinating the execution of the maintenance job plans

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, equipment drawings, and piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs)

  • At least 3 years of experience using SAP planning and scheduling tools
