What We do / The Team

  • The Software Business Execution team is responsible for managing software budget, software financial approval, license procurement and its annual renewal and maintenance for Markets Technology.

  • We collaborate internally with Tech and Business stakeholders to understand their needs for software licenses, engage with Third Party Management team for Risk Assessment, Legal for contract review and sourcing for executing the contract along with continuous engagement with external Third-party supplier.

  • We also ensure our monthly forecast, accruals and expenses are in line and variance, if any, are being discussed with Business Execution Team for each LOB within Markets Tech.

  • We also look for software optimization opportunities from License usage and spend perspective.

Role Overview/What you will you do:

  • Initiates financial approval process for Incremental and renewal software licenses.

  • Review and validation of financial forecast, accruals, variance analysis– keep all stakeholders informed of any changes in spend/ usage and variance.

  • Execute vendor management activities, including engaging with BAO Team for risk assessment, sourcing for contract execution, ensuring legal requirements are met, financial approval and coordinating contract negotiation and execution.

  • Support annual software budget process ($ 70 - $100MM).

  • Ensure all software, Technical Services and ad-hoc invoices managed by team for Tech and Front Office are being paid on time.

  • Provide continuous improvement and automation of operational processes and procedures to increase efficiency and corresponding documentation.

  • Execute vendor management activities, including ensuring legal requirements are met and coordinating contract negotiation and processing

  • Partner with software compliance to determine deployments across multiple environments in support of cost allocations

  • Collaborate across the teams managing portfolios for Software management, Third Party management, Scorecard, Application management, sourcing teams and be the point of contact for all in case of any escalations. Collaborate continuously with Tech teams/ Business teams to align allocations and contractual expense to software products

What you will bring to the role / Experience required

  • Experience as a technology business manager or IT PMO or IT COO (ideally in big Tech or Financial organisation)

  • An excellent team player who respects, mentors other team members.

  • Is well versed with Software license types, experience working in a global team environment/ large IT PMO, experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders with excellent reporting/ pivot/ financial modelling skills.

  • Experience supporting large annual software budget process ($50M+).

  • Proven Vendor management experience

  • Must be extremely organized, motivated and a self-starter.

  • Ability to prioritise is key as is ability to juggle several tasks at once.

  • Must work well under pressure whilst, enthusiastic, hard-working and positive.

  • Desire to improve processes.
