For its first ever property in the Pacific Northwest, InterContinental® Hotels & Resorts debuts a luxurious property with more than 200 guest rooms, Grand and Junior Ballrooms, lobby bar, a gym, and a dedicated concierge team.

Your day to day

The InterContinental Bellevue at the Avenue is looking for two Front Office Supervisors. As key members of our team, the Front Office Supervisors will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless guest experiences and upholding our reputation for excellence. We're looking for candidates who not only possess strong leadership skills but also have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

  • Assisting in all aspects of front desk and guest services operations during your assigned shift.

  • Conducting an inventory of supplies and informing leadership of necessary purchases.

  • Promptly informing management of any potentially serious issues.

  • Ensuring that all staff members are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties efficiently.

  • Championing onboarding of new hires and continuous training of all Front Office team members.

  • Providing guests with prompt and professional attention, ensuring they feel welcomed upon arrival and throughout their stay.

  • Addressing/logging guest complaints appropriately and escalating concerns when necessary.

  • Adhering to service recovery measures to guarantee total guest satisfaction.

  • Communicating any VIP guests, special needs, or requests to the staff and ensuring their execution.

  • Contributing to the achievement of AAA and Forbes Luxury standards.

  • Collaborating to achieve departmental goals related to guest satisfaction, revenue, profit, and IHG One Rewards enrollments.

  • Ensuring adherence to procedures for the security of financial transactions and guest safety.

  • Conducting routine inspections of the front office and public areas to maintain high standards of appearance and promptly addressing any deficiencies.

  • Training staff on PBX procedures to serve as a central communications point during emergencies.

  • Fostering teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments, including Accounting, Revenue Management, Sales and Marketing, Catering, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Valet, HOA, and Retail Vendors.

  • Serving as the manager on duty when required.

What we need from you

What we need from you:

  • One year or more of experience in front office/guest services, including supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.

  • Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with associates, guests, and the leadership team.

  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, motivational, organizational, and training abilities are necessary.

  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.

  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours per day or extended periods is necessary.

  • Experience with Opera software is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with luxury hospitality experience or knowledge. However, a fundamental understanding of luxury standards is required.

The compensation for this position is $25.00/hour.
