Amazon Principal Product Manager - Tech, Last Mile, Transporter Experience - On Road Progress in Bellevue, Washington

Description

Our team: At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. We are constantly looking to exceed the expectations of our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is investing heavily to innovate and provide best in class services in the Last Mile delivery space. In the Last Mile Transporter Experience team, we own the experience for all transporter types (drivers, bikers, walkers etc) delivering all Amazon packages, groceries, ultra fast deliveries, and more. The Last Mile Transporter Experience is powered by a mobile app, available on both iOS and Android, and works in concert with our logistics and technology to guide transporters through the delivery journey. In 2020 we crossed our 10 billion packages delivered milestone and in 2023 we delivered a billion packages just through our same-day delivery capabilities.

The role:

This role will help define our next set of transporter facing products focused on providing evolutionary and revolutionary concepts delivery-teams use to execute day-off activities, to stay on-plan and when deviances occur resulting from on-ground realities (e.g., traffic, unpredictable delays etc.,), those plans quickly adjust accordingly, all towards ensuring the transporters continue to operate in a safe environment and we continue delivering packages to meet customer promise. The set of tools operate across multiple business types (same-day, grocery, speciality deliveries, pickups).

Our mission is to ensure every package is delivered at the right time, at the right location, in the right way according to the customer's preference. Our transporters deliver in many different use cases, ranging from single-family home, apartment units behind a locked gate, college campus, to countryside residences worldwide. This role ensures that we provide all involved teams the most accurate visibility into on-road delivery execution progress of transporters, as well as accurate signals for timely and accurate payments. To succeed in this mission, it will be done through identifying opportunities to streamline the tools for various user personas, and reduce the cognitive load to utilize the tool's benefits, across various device modalities,

This role is inherently cross-functional—this leader will work closely with engineering, program management, design, operations, finance, legal, business development, customer service, and executive teams to bring products to market, develop and grow business opportunities, and enhance our existing products and features. A successful candidate will be highly analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment. Come join the team and help us make history!* This role requires autonomy and an ability to deliver results, often within the ambiguity of building a v1 product. You will need to work efficiently to build the right things with limited guidance, raising the bar to create an amazing experience for our transporters.

  • Playing a key role in the Transporter Experience team, as a Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product definition and feature roadmap for multiple projects . You will work closely with multiple stakeholder/business teams, your engineering and UX/UI counterparts to identify business requirements, measuring and sharing progress against goals, and championing adoption with our customers through in-field research and testing. You will bring your experience of defining and releasing similar successful products at scale, preferably in consumer or industrial verticals.

  • This role also expects identifying net new opportunities for Amazon and Last Mile, and taking them from an idea, through evangelizing, defining and materializing as our next set of investments.
