Location: Bellevue. Will accept candidates based in San Francisco, Atlanta, and Minneapolis

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Program Manager, Product Lifecycle Management, is responsible for managing programs to support products as they move through critical moments in their lifecycle (launch, evolution, retirement). You will lead cross-functional programs within SAPs Software as a Service (SaaS) space with outcomes focused on bringing new solutions and unique value to our customers and the market. This is a position that requires successful collaboration with multiple functional areas within SAP including Product Marketing, Product Success, Finance, Legal, Product Management, and Services. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and resourceful with experience in program management and/or project management in the SaaS industry.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Drive program execution through formal project management, track and report on progress, define success criteria and goals, and employ governance models.

  • Document a clear and actionable plan to drive organizational alignment, prioritization and decisions to achieve program goals.

  • Manage product launch, retirement and/or replacement initiatives as products move through and to the end of their lifecycle.

  • Provide program oversight, lead large cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders to drive program success.

  • Identify critical path deliverables, anticipate issues/risks, develop mitigation plans, and remove roadblocks.

  • Deliver clear, accurate, actionable and impartial communication about overall program status that stakeholders across the business can rely on to make relevant business decisions.

  • Orchestrate product launch activities and product change management (outside of product development) to enable go-to-market and customer success activities.

Education Experience & Training required:

  • 1-3 years experience in program/project management methodologies, preferably in the software orSaaS industry.

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, including Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Marketing.

  • Bachelors degree required. Graduate degree preferred.

Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Project and program management ability to effectively drive and communicate the status of cross-functional interdependencies required to deliver product readiness, including: offer approval, implementation and support readiness for launch, navigating legal requirements, and product launch preparation.

  • Strong interpersonal skills ability to lead and motivate others without authority to drive initiatives to completion.

  • Resourceful leveraging all resources, both internal and external, to complete complex tasks.

  • Effective communicator strong written and verbal communication skills internal & external stakeholders to provide transparency and influence change.

  • Proactive Self-motivated and able to independently manage multiple priorities while working through ambiguous situations.

  • Critical thinking and the ability to challenge others on deliverables while maintaining strong business relationships.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment. Demonstrates focus on listening and empathy with diverse groups, and facilitates empathy in others.

  • Facilitation - Ability to lead meetings and navigate through disagreements to drive alignment within areas of influence.

Compensation Range Transparency : SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 68,200 - 149,300 USD.The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills,experience, scope ofthe role, location, etc. as determinedthrough theselection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
