Salary: $264,038/year to $290,180/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
Individual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Duties:
Design and implement components at all layers of the system, e.g. kernel, synchronization primitives, resource allocators, memory management, security, I/O systems, persistence, etc; Design and implement drivers and services that operate efficiently in a constrained environment yet when pressed can efficiently deliver large volumes of data with low-latency and high-bandwidth; Own the definition of one or more work streams focused on hardware bring up, peripheral drivers and communication, silicon integration and power and performance management and optimization; Debug complex, system-level, multi-component issues that typically span across multiple layers from kernel to application; Profile performance problems and drive optimizations that span the entire software stack.; Bring up new devices and lead debugging and performance tuning exercises that span multiple hardware/firmware/software teams.
Requirements:
Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Foreign equivalent accepted. Requires 36 months of experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation. Requires 36 months of experience in:
- Coding in one of the following industry-standard languages: C, C++, Java, or C#;
- Python, PHP, or Haskell;
- Software development tools: Code editors (VIM or Emacs), and revision control systems (Subversion, GIT, or Perforce);
- Linux, UNIX, or other *nix-like OS as evidenced by file manipulation, advanced commands, and shell scripting;
- Build highly-scalable performant solutions; and
- Applying algorithms and core computer science concepts to real world systems as evidenced by recognizing and matching patterns from different areas of computer science in production systems.
