Required Skills:

Software Engineering Manager Responsibilities:

1. Lead team of Software Engineers on delivering multiple projects of increasing dependencies in an ambiguous or high-impact area.

2. Leverage understanding of ads business practices, ads delivery design and domain expertise to lead the team on relevant areas with Meta Ads.

3. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities in such fields as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and computer programming.

4. Work with team and cross functional partners to define and influence strategy.

5. Work on issues requiring an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.

6. Drive roadmap creation and execution.

7. Collaborate with various functions, drive engineering initiatives, and have an impact at an organizational level.

8. Participate in technical design.

9. Measure the impact of team and set clear expectations and goals.

10. Manage activities of two or more sections or departments, supervising costs, methods, and staffing.

11. Work effectively with cross functional partners and stakeholders to set and achieve optimal outcomes.

12. Partner with leadership to influence and drive org design, contribution, and prioritization.

Minimum Qualifications:

13. Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Software, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and four years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

14. Requires experience in the following:

15. 1. Four years of software engineering work experience including hands-on technical management building infrastructure core components
16. 2. Four years of experience coding in one of the following languages: C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, or PHP
17. 3. Four years of experience architecting, developing, and shipping software products and/or services
18. 4. Four years of management experience with technical teams, or experience as a technical lead or project manager
19. 5. Four years of experience building products including front end technologies or backend systems
20. 6. Four years of of experience with Unix or Linux
21. 7. Four years of experience with large-scale Internet service architectures (load balancing, LAMP, or CDN's)
22. 8. Four years of experience designing and developing distributed systems, storage systems, or cache and data distribution infrastructure
23. 9. Four years of experience scaling high performance, high throughput systems
24. 10. Four years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing problems in large-scale systems
25. 11. Four years of experience coordinating large-scale, cross-functional efforts that span different teams
26. 12. Four years of experience developing and managing requirements, and making data-driven decisions
27. 13. Four years of experience leading strategic implementation and planning for risk and growth
28. 14. Two years of experience working in advertising.

Public Compensation:

$254,044/year to $290,180/year + bonus + equity + benefits
