We are bringing in a seasoned Controller to oversee the financial operations of our company based in Bellingham, Massachusetts. The Controller will be instrumental in managing internal controls, treasury functions, and assisting the Chief Financial Officer in budget development. This role falls within the realm of financial planning, budgeting, and risk assessment, and is pivotal in driving the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee internal and external financial reporting to stakeholders, including the bank, members, and the Board of Directors in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

• Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate forecasts and financial plans aligned with corporate objectives.

• Understand and track all pricing, promotion, IR, and Merchandise Funds, both receipt and use of funds.

• Monitor and analyze budget variances, identifying areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.

• Make and implement recommendations to improve accounting processes and procedures, optimizing the systems, streamlining processes within the organization, and leveraging the Company’s internal systems.

• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.

• Actively support financial strategic initiatives, including risk assessment, banking, legal, and tax compliance matters.

• Manage and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional growth and high performance.

• Establish and monitor relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and customers.

• Ensure the maintenance of appropriate financial records.

Requirements • Must have at least 7 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential.

• Comprehensive understanding and experience with Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Auditing is required.

• Knowledge of and experience in Budget Processes is required.

• Must have experience with External Reporting.

• Proficiency in Financial Analysis is necessary.

• Experience in Forecasting is required.

• Must have experience in Management Reporting.

• Experience with Month End Close processes is important.

• Must be able to prepare and analyze Monthly Statements.

• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP is essential.
