Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Director of Finance in Bellingham, Washington. The role revolves around overseeing all accounting and finance functions for the division. The successful candidate will manage the company's financial staff and reporting requirements, alongside being in charge of treasury and coordinating the business planning, accounting, and budgeting process of the company.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounting, controls, and finance processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting

• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, and that divisional financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAP

• Act as primary contact with the company's audit firm and facilitate the annual audit for the division

• Provide professional management reporting packages and MD& A to the quality and insight level required by the management team for the division

• Help improve management reporting capabilities and internal analysis to facilitate understanding the drivers of profitability for various business lines, product categories, facilities, and customers through the development of KPIs

• Take responsibility for monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting for the business and help set long-term financial goals that align with the strategy of the business

• Manage division cash management, including cash flow and liquidity forecasting, tax compliance, and reporting

• Support the business team on the management of working capital, including optimizing inventory levels and customer/vendor payment terms

• Identify, implement and manage any financial reporting systems that can help automate financial system visibility, key performance indicators (KPIs), etc.

The salary range for this position is $150,000 to $180,000 + bonus.

Requirements

• Proven leadership skills and experience in a senior finance role, preferably as VP/Director of Finance.

• Expertise in strategic analysis and financial planning & analysis (FP& A).

• Proficiency in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.

• Demonstrated ability in data analysis and financial reporting.

• Experience in the eCommerce industry is an advantage.

• Thorough understanding of US GAAP.

• Experience in managing annual external audits.

• Proficiency in KPI reporting and cash management.

• Demonstrated ability in cash flow forecasts and liquidity risk management.

• Experience in managing tax compliance processes.
